This project consists out of a ‘rolling swing’.
When a person tries to swing back and forth, the force created pushes the wheels in both directions, suggesting that the machine allows the user full control.
After few moments, though, the machine’s back and forth movement counterbalances the swinging of the user in a constant game of opposing forces annihilating one another. The swing will never leave its initial position.

This artwork is about the act of constant struggle against the improbable. It merges a symbol of lightness and freedom with the impossibility created by physical forces that bind us to a certain reality but challenge our stubbornness in trying as long as we can.
